Really good product
I bought this blender as a comparison test with the Kitchen Aid Hand Blender which I purchased several months ago. This is an excellent product. I would, however, give a slight preference to the Kitchen Aid Hand Blender on account of the variable speed feature. I have not been able to determine the maximum power output of the KitchenAid but for my purposes as a professional chef I prefer the variable speed option.

Just what I wanted
Apparently professionals do not find this an adequate tool, but it is perfect for any household kitchen. I've been on a soup kick lately, and I bought it to puree soup right in the pot. Works wonderfully for that. Since I received it I have experimented with making smoothies, milk shakes, guacamole, margaritas... I'm obsessed with it. Leaves everything perfectly smooth...no chunks (which makes it better than my blender). It's been dealing with a lot of ice and frozen fruit, but the blades are still like new. I can't even express how easy it is to clean. Literally a 10-second cleanup. I have no complaints at all.

Great kitchen gadget
This is a really handy gadget. The 2 piece construction makes it a breeze to clean, and lets you put the bottom in the dishwasher if you want to. I reasearched it and I think I got the best value. My wife complains that I never used to make smoothies...
