Oster 3157 400-Watt Single-Speed Juice Extractor, White/Grey

Oster 3157 400-Watt Single-Speed Juice Extractor, White/Grey

Oster 3157 400-Watt Single-Speed Juice Extractor, White/Grey
You can't go wrong at this price
I was looking for a small, inexpensive juicer today that I can use for a couple of months while I'm away from home and found the Oster juicer at my local store. I'd never heard of the brand before but at under $50 it seemed like a bargain. So I grabbed a bag of veggies and dashed back to give it a whirl.

The mouth where you push the veggies through is a decent size but you will need to slice most veggies at least once before you can fit them in. No big deal, takes about 2 minutes to do the whole lot. The motor is really strong and had no trouble chewing through carrots and beets. It has a decent size pulp catcher that's quick and easy to take off when you need to empty it.

I also like the fact that there is not a huge amount of space between the blade and the plastic thing that's used to push the veggies/fruit down, so small bits don't get stuck in the gap like some previous brands I've used.

There's not much bad I can say about it, given the size and...

love it
I got this juicer about a month now, could'nt wa from it to start juicing as soon as it was delivered. This is one powerful little juicer, i juice everything from beets, apples, pears, grapes, celery, etc. it has change my life for the better, I now go more often to the bathroom,my skin looks better and i no longer dring the garbage called juice from the store. Its strong , durable, sterdy and those fruits like nobodys business. love it, go ahead and get it ,it will do your body good.

Great for the price
I thought because this juicer was inexpensive, that it wouldn't juice as well. I am a first time juicer and found this to be an excellent product for the price!

No need to drive to a juice bar for healthy beverages thanks to this convenient appliance. Equipped with a powerful 400-watt motor, the Oster juice extractor quickly and effortlessly turns a variety of fresh produce into delicious, nutrient-rich drinks. Use it to make fresh orange juice to serve to weekend guests in the morning or put it to work churning through celery, carrots, and beets for energy-boosting concoctions after a workout. The unit features a feed chute with a food pusher, a large-capacity pulp-collector container, and an angled spout that directs pure juice into the included 20-ounce jar. Use the jar to serve juice at the table or to store it in the refrigerator for later. Other thoughtful design details include a user-friendly single-speed control dial, a durable stainless-steel filter, a locking arm for safe operation, and dishwasher-safe parts for quick cleanup. Hurom Slow Juicer Model HU-100S New Silver with Cookbook

Hurom Slow Juicer Model HU-100S New Silver with Cookbook

Hurom Slow Juicer Model HU-100S New Silver with Cookbook
HU-100B IMPROVED HUROM JUICER
First, I love this juicer. The best juicer on the market is the one that you will use everyday and this is the one for me. It is the fastest to use because it is self feeding. This is a fantastic time saver. I can cut up the produce while the juicer does its work, reducing my juicing time in half. Try to do that with the Super Angel. The YouTube videos I have seen on the Super Angel show the wooden pusher getting quite a workout forcing produce into the twin screws. I haven't taken the Hurom pusher out of the plastic bag yet. The clean-up is also easy and just as fast as with a single horizontal auger juicer. Please note that the parts are not dishwasher safe. Currently, there are at least three Hurom models on the market, namely the HU-100, HU-300 & HU-400. Functionally all three are the same. Differences are in the body, strainer and pin holder. The HU-100 is available in white, silver and black. I have seen a chrome model but it is difficult to get in the USA. The...

Love!
I am so impressed with how much juice the Hurom juicer is able to extract and how little pulp left over. So far I've used it every day, and sometimes more than once a day. I've juiced kale, collard greens, cucumbers, basil, ginger, carrots and their tops, apples, kiwis, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatoes, spinach, apricots, oranges, grapefruit, bell peppers, sweet potato, celery, cherries, blueberries, apples, parsley, and lemons. The only one that I've ever had to use the reverse button on is the carrots, so I try to cut them in very small pieces - about the size of a pea. Clean up is easy. It's quiet so I can use it while my husband is still asleep! Plus it looks good.

Great juicer
I was looking for a juicer that would provide a great tasting juice with less waste, and would clean up easily. The new Hurom 100 stainless steel does all that! The juice stays blended with several fruits or vegetables blended together, does leafy greens very well, and is a snap to clean up. I'm totally pleased.

DeLonghi DJE950 Die-cast Juice Extractor

DeLonghi DJE950 Die-cast Juice Extractor

DeLonghi DJE950 Die-cast Juice Extractor
Easy, does it all, great value
The large feeding tube makes this juice extractor easy to use (much less chopping and holds plenty). It's a snap to clean and looks really great on the counter. The best feature though is the amount of juice it actually extracts. The pulp left over is practically dry. This is a top quality product at a great price.

My Dry Pulp Juicer
This is a serious juicer. I purchased a new juicer because of all the expensive juice that was left in the very wet pulp of my previous centrifugal juicer, even running the pulp through again. With perpendicular sides the DeLonghi's spinning basket holds the pulp until you remove it. It will continue to spin juice out for as long as you leave it spin or until the pulp becomes very dry. While you have to remove the pulp periodically, it is simple by gently pulling up on the pulp "cage" top edge in a few spots to loosen.

The juice from this machine is clearer with less pulp than my previous juicer, probably because it gets filtered through whatever pulp has already accumulated. It is very fast and its large "mouth" allows much larger pieces and even whole moderate size fruit. Easy to clean, but care must be taken when cleaning the strainer basket to not cut or snag something on the shreding blade at its bottom. Cleans easily. This is a powerful machine, and it is heavy.

Juice extracted! Dry pulp!
I started juicing with an older proctor Silex and I was having some frustrations. The main one was that it ejected the pulp before the juice was all extracted. It was wasteful. Also, it didn't like harder things like carrots... or leaves like Kale (it was pretty picky actually!... I had to insist a lot!). It was time for a serious upgrade!

I read a lot and I was considering a Breville for a while (which I'm sure are really good!) until I saw this one. I love the way it manages the pulp and you can spin it until it's dry. It's easy to clean, it's powerful and it juiced everything I asked it to! It says it's not made for citrus, but I admit I cheat. I peal my citrus before... (I did Lemon, Grapefruit and Oranges)
I can't imagine that people would try to put the peel in that type of juicer anyway. And I let it go slowly and really I don't see how it can be a problem and it goes right through.

The only thing that can be a bit annoying,..... (Sometimes a...

It uses blades and a sieve to separate juice from pulp for the quickest juice extraction. If you don't like a lot of pulp in your drinks, then you'll love the convenient and patented built-in pulp collector system. Samson / Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer - Model GB9001 - 10 Yr Warranty

Samson / Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer - Model GB9001 - 10 Yr Warranty

Samson / Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer - Model GB9001 - 10 Yr Warranty
Outstanding machine - outstanding company to buy from
I am a huge juicer. Every morning my wife and I juice. We noticed that our juiceman jr was not efficiently juicing our green vegies. It was wasting 90% of them. The green veggies (expensive I might add) went right into the plastic bin hardly touched. I went to Jamba Juice and they explained how an auger presses the green juices - and, that's what Jamba uses for their wheat grass....well, the rest is history. I did my homework and found out that augers are more efficient just like Jamba explained. And, kitchens best walked me through the entire thing. Plus, they offered a 90 day money back warranty. They are incredibly nice and I can't believe they offer that kind of awesome money back gaurantee. Anyway, they are RIGHT about the juicer - it absolutely presses out 95% more green juice than the Jack Lalane and Juice man Jr. styles..and it does a better job on apples, ginger, and everything else too. The ONLY down side is - it's a slower process. But, in life - you can't have...

Great ompany great juicer
I bought the Samson 6 in one to juice wheatgrass and other veggies and am very pleased with this juicer. It does a fine job on wheatgrass especially. I run the wheatgrass pulp through again to get those extra few drops out. The customer service personnel at kitchen best are super polite and helpful as well as knowledgeable about their products. They deliver service that is lacking with most company's these day's. How can you go wrong with a 90 days satisfaction guarantee!!

Great juicer
Being used to the simple cheap spin models, I was put off when I saw all the parts that came with this juicer. However, once I took a minute to look through their instructions manual, it became clear how it all goes together. The reason it looks like so many parts is that there are different nozzles and stuff for the different functions of the machine. The manual has very good color pictures and illustrations so they made it pretty simple, even for someone who (like me) hates reading through manuals.

Much quieter than my spin model, for sure, and the pulp came out much drier as well. Specially with the cucumbers. I was used to having a wet sloppy mess being left over when I tried to juice cucumbers- not so with this juicer.

It looks very sturdy and well put together, and disassembling it and cleaning it (in the kitchen sink, not the dishwasher) took me 3 minutes in all. Not bad.

The Matstone 6-in-1 Juicer is the most well known versatile single auger juicer on the market today. It has also been sold for many years under the brand name Samson 6-in-1 Juicer. Buy the original Matstone factory brand direct today and get the same great juicer at a discounted price over other published brands. The Matstone 6-in-1 single auger juicer has six completely different functions, making this juicer six machines in one! Not only can you extract juice from fruit, vegetables, and wheatgrass, you can also: mince or chop seasonings, mince meats and fish, use as a food mill to make bread sticks, cookies, and pastas, or use to extract oil from sesame seeds (extra attachment required). The Matstone Juicer produces 3 and 1/2 times more juice from vegetables and fruits when compared with existing conventional juicers. Regular high-speed juicers can destroy natural flavors and the nutritional value of vegetables and fruits. With its low 80 RPMs, the Matstone Juicer preserves as much flavor and nutritional value as possible. Juice made with the Matstone Juicer can be stored in the fridge for 48 hours without the loss of flavor, nutrients or appearance. The Matstone is made of U.S. FDA-approved polycarbonate and melamine. The materials are semi-permanent and extremely hygienic. The redesign and reinforcing of the juicing screen combined with the advanced auger design gives a finer juice. The auger design also allows for easier processing of fruit and vegetables. The Matstone Juicer has a built-in safety control device to prevent over-heating and it restarts when it has cooled down. The Matstone Juicer is easy to assemble, disassemble, and clean. It only takes 15 seconds to assemble or disassemble this juicer and about a minute to clean it! Whether you're new to juicing or a pro, this juicer will be a benefit to your health. Quick and easy to use, The Matstone Juicer allows you to make tasty juice in minutes while still maximizing the natural nutrients and enzymes!

The Sharper Image 8021SI Stainless-Steel 700-Watt Super Juicer

The Sharper Image 8021SI Stainless-Steel 700-Watt Super Juicer

The Sharper Image 8021SI Stainless-Steel 700-Watt Super Juicer
Don't buy it, it's cute looks are deceiving
I went in to buy the Breville JE95XL but saw this stainless steel beauty and with it's $79 price tag and decided to go for it. Had it one day and that was more than enough.
1. very poor juicing all around, pulp left over had tons of moisture which means you're using way more (expensive) produce to get the same amt of juice. there goes the low price.
2. the stupid spout is too low to get a decent jar or cup under so you need to juice into a bowl or something, or else have a 2nd person hold your container at an angle while you're feeding produce into it.
3. GIANT mess. when i tried to run the soaking wet pulp back through the juicer to extract the rest of the juice, a juicy sludge poured out the SIDES all around the juice spout. got all over the juicer, the counter and everywhere.
4. the second time i juiced i smelled smoke. i am positive the thing would have broken very rapidly had i not just returned the piece of dung immediately.

I returned it...

Sharper Image Customer Service pursuaded me to never buy Sharper Image products again
This juicer (great look; at most average performance) broke after I used it for ~10 times. I needed to replace one part to make it functional again. I was willing to pay for it. I contacted the store I bought it in and Sharper Image Customer Service several times and each party constantly sent me to the other one. I called, emailed, and wrote to Sharper Image Customer Service and got the same reply all the time. They do not deal with such problems. I tried for 6 months. No success. I came to a simple solution though - the juicer is in the garbage. I will never again buy a product with the Sharper Image logo. Period.

For the price, a good juicer, with some reservations
This is the first juicer I've owned, so I don't really have a comparison. However, I did do quite a bit of research before buying this. Mine has the black top, not clear, so I can't see what's happening, but apart from that it's the same. I was very impressed with the motor. However, unlike the photos, I couldn't find small enough apples or pairs to go whole down the tube, and had to cut them in 1/4, but no problem. Also, the orange juice made from oranges with peel on (as suggested) tasted awful. Perhaps the really thin-peel oranges would be fine, but none available at the moment. I quickly discovered that although it says that you don't have to peel, the juice is much nicer for many fruits when you do - i.e. citrus, pineapple, mango - fruits that you wouldn't eat the peel anyway. I deducted one star because I did find that the clean-up took longer than expected. All these ads always show a 1-2-3 quick-clean but anyone who has juiced, and for those that haven't, you MUST clean...

The Sharper Image Juicer is an ultra modern stainless steel 700 Watt high end juicer. The extra large feeder tube allows for whole fruit consumption and dishwasher safe parts allow for easy clean-up. The Super Juicer also acts as two machines in one; its mega size pulp collector allows for the usage of the remaining pulp to create sauces, soups, salsa, cakes and much more. With a stainless steel exterior and simple design, the Super Juicer is a great addition to any countertop.

  • Stainless-steel electric juicer produces fresh juice quickly and easily
  • Wide-mouth feeding tube accepts whole produce; dual-position locking spout
  • Stainless-steel blade and micro filter; large-capacity pulp collector
  • Quiet yet powerful 700-watt motor; safety locking bar; dishwasher-safe parts

Breville JE95XL Two-Speed Juice Fountain Plus

Breville JE95XL Two-Speed Juice Fountain Plus

Breville JE95XL Two-Speed Juice Fountain Plus
Best of three juicers I tried
I have tried the Jack LaLanne Power juicer, the Breville JE900 (previous model) and this model. By far this one is the best one! First of all, the Jack LaLanne Power juicer had less power than the Breville series, and also the metal mesh screen had bigger holes. So a lot of the times, the juice produced wasn't really smooth. Because it was white it stained easily if you make a lot of carrot juice. Also, cleanup was more work because you have to unscrew the juicing blade every time for a cleanup.

Now onto the Breville series. Quick and easy cleanup, fine mesh screen so the juice is much more smoother, and more power! What makes the JE95XL better than the JE900 is mainly the two speed control. With the JE900, it was so powerful and fast all the time that when I juiced soft fruits like grapes and strawberries, the fruit wouldn't be juiced all the way. Sometimes, I find half-juiced grapes in the pulp container. So I got a lot less juice with the softer fruits. Also, once you...

Wonderful tool, minus the hyperbole
OK I got this juicer just as soon as it came out. I read all the reviews of all the juicers I could find, and it was clear that Breville was the best way to go. And the raves were all about the previous model which had less power and only one speed. I love the juicer but I guess I was expecting a divine product by the review I read. I'll just say it is good quality without drooling all over about it...

PRO'S:
~Great Power
~easy to clean, (do it sooner rather than let stuff dry on)

~smartly designed electrical plug
~motor cannot run if parts are not locked together (for safety reasons)
~product has few angles and many curves, which makes cleaning easier since pulp/juice can be hard to reach where there are corners
~two speeds: fast for power, slow for soft items
~it really can make 8oz juice in 5 seconds!
~huge food chute can accomodate an entire apple... you save time not needing to cut many things pre-juicing.

CON'S:
~tomatoes - even...

Unit failed under light to moderate use... read on to discover the failed part.
I had the Breville JE95XL juicer for a few months and was quite pleased with it. When my daughter visited from college she loved it and so, it went back to school with her.

After a couple of weeks, she called to say that the unit simply stopped working. (Recently she visited again and brought the unit to me.)

The first thing I did was a web search to see if there might be some helpful hints posted somewhere. I found nothing.

So, I read a number of the low ratings on Amazon for this make and model and found many stories that matched my daughter's experience.

Breville does not make it easy to service this, but it is servicable with a little bit of effort... here's how.

Poor Design, Inexcusable.
For an appliance like a juicer, a manufacturer should expect that users might overtax the motor from time to time. So, the solution they should have employed is a simple "reset" button on the bottom of the unit that will reset the...

Waring PCJ218 Citrus Juicer, Stainless Steel

Waring PCJ218 Citrus Juicer, Stainless Steel

Waring PCJ218 Citrus Juicer, Stainless Steel
highly recommended
I have used the Waring PCJ218 juicer for the past 6 months. I juice on average 10 oranges each day. I can state without reservation that this is a good looking, well made, powerful juicer. How good is it? I have purchased 2 additional PCJ218 juicers as gifts. Do I know what I'm talking about? I design machinery for a living. Rarely do I find consumer products to be worthy of praise. This juicer is a real gem at a reasonable price.

When life hands you lemons...
There are two very important things a juicer should do. 1) extract all the juice and b)clean up easily. This juicer does both. The manufacturer calls it slow, but I saw it as very powerful. By the time I juiced my second lemon, I was a pro happily throwing out completely empty half lemon rinds. It costs a little more than some of the other models, but it's also built to last. I'll probably end up having to put it in my will.

The best Juicer - was!
Easy to use, easy to clean. Juices grapefruit, oranges, lemons, limes, and keylimes with no problems. I like it so much I bought one for my Dad for his 70th Birthday! 5 stars!
**
After having used this juicer for over a year (under heavy use - 6 oranges a day) the reamer has started to slip and it makes a grinding noise. The downside of this juicer is that the center post is plastic and not metal. I'm still searching to find out if this post can be replaced. I have loved the juicer and am sorry to say that if you are a heavy juicer then try to get this on sale, if you are the occasional juicer then this will last you a lifetime. Current rating for heavy juicers - 3 stars!

The Waring Citrus Juicer is engineered to perform with the same ease and efficiency that professional kitchens demand. We cushion our heavy metal base for extra quiet operation, and our universal reamer quickly and thoroughly juices the smallest limes to the largest grapefruits. With minimal time and effort you can make juice for the entire family. Removable parts are dishwasher safe, so the cleanup is as easy as the operation.Universal reamer quickly and thoroughly juices small limes to large grapefruitsExtra heavy base for quiet operationJuice Bowl and Reamer lift off base and are dishwasher safe for quick and easy cleaningIf you're looking for a heavy-duty juicer to whip up your morning glass of tangerine-grapefruit juice, look no further. This is a solidly built juicer that you'll want to leave on the counter all the time--and it's heavy enough that you'll want to give it a permanent, accessible spot. Slower than some juicers, it's consistent and powerful, squeezing every last drop of juice from even a large grapefruit. The majority of the pulp collects in the reamer basket--add as much as you like! The spout pours directly into most tumblers up to 12 ounces, and by adjusting the reamer, you can make the operating switch convenient for left- or right-handed users.--Jill Lightner

Jack Lalanne's JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer

Jack Lalanne's JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer

Jack Lalanne's JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer
The good, the bad, and the ugly...
First off, let me admit to the fact that I've never owned any kind of juicer before, this one is the first.

We were given the Jack LaLanne Stainless Juicer as a gift from someone who already had one and loved it. I had modestly high hopes for it, not being a big powered-kitchen-gadget fan; but we also have been trying to improve our diets due and lose some weight, so the gift was rather timely to meet that end. I honestly knew nothing about this product until I pulled it out of the box at home. We'd gone to the local big-box store and bought a bunch of stuff to put in the machine and try it out: Kiwis, mangoes, carrots, tomatoes, apples, oranges, pears, ginger root, celery and pineapple.

The Good:

Out of the box I got the impression that this was a sturdy product. All of the parts are fairly simple, that means less stuff to break or clean to me. It assembled in a snap, I didn't even look at the directions (typical guy...I know). Upon firing up...

A Healthy Lifestyle Change
Is it hard to eat your vegetables and have enough fruit servings in a day? It was for me; so I decided to buy another juicer. My last juicer had a very small spout and you had to cut up everything before you put it into the juicer; and it was extremely noisy. I got rid of it because it did not measure up.

I purchased the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer and have been very pleased with it. I read the other reviews and I will try to respond to them as well based upon my own experiences. First, for me the juicer is excellent. I juice fruits and most vegetables. You have to insert soft vegetables followed by hard vegetables for it to work optimally. I have had no problems following the directions which indicate that this works best.

I have made some wonderful drinks with the Power Juicer. Here is one called the Energy Boost Drink which I love:

1 Carrot
1 Celery Stalk
1 Beet Root
Parsley
Lettuce
Watercress
Spinach
3...

Don't buy this--very bad machine
When I heard that Jack's machine would take whole apples, I seemed to have lost all sense and ordered his juicer, which I believed would be an upgrade from my Mr. Juiceman. It's time consuming to cut products to fit the juicer. What Jack fails to mention in his ads--his chute does take apples, but only small ones, the ones you usually don't buy. Thus, I'm still cutting products, same as usual.

I juice all kinds of fruits and veggies and have over many years. If you are new to the experience of juicing, you will quickly learn that better made, more professional models are $400-500. Thus, you must choose these lower cost models, that despite their glitz are largely made of plastic. The only thing going for this Jack LaLanne model is that they used good sense in making the plastic black. Despite every good cleaning, white plastic models take on fruit/veggie stains that over time are very difficult to remove.

This machine constantly chokes, too-often fails to...

Oklife OKL6063 9-Speed Stainless Steel Juice Extractor

Oklife OKL6063 9-Speed Stainless Steel Juice Extractor

Oklife OKL6063 9-Speed Stainless Steel Juice Extractor
Excellent Juicer-very Easy to use!
This is a very easy juicer to operate and clean! It is durable and very attractive with a high quality stainless steel that goes with other appliances in my kitchen. When I opened the juicer it comes neatly pre-assembled, very nice. I proceeded to juice my favorite juice recipe-celery and carrots, it was so easy and I do like the variable 9 speed. I was able to control the speed level so effortless from the lower level speed up to the 9 speed level. The pulp was very dry which shows that oklife Juicer was able to extract the maximum juice and the juice taste great! What I like most is that Oklife OKl6063 is so easy to use and clean, with just three quick steps, viola, you are ready to juice! I owned a very popular juicer brand but I only used it a couple of times and stopped because it was so difficult to operate it and clean.

I have used my Oklife Juicer every single day since I bought it because it is hassle free and it does the job!

Easy to use and clean :)
I was very pleased with the Oklife 9 Speed Juice Extractor. It was much easier to operate than I expected and my teenagers love using it too! The juice from the fruits and vegetables quickly flowed out into the collection container with no effort. The pulp was very fine and I used it in a batch of muffins and in pancakes for added fiber and nutrition, so nothing was wasted. The Oklife 9 Speed Juice Extractor was also very easy to clean. I sprayed out the micro-filter and placed it and the hard plastic containers in the dishwasher. Overall I am very pleased with the product!

Overall, a good value
Pros: Stainless steel. Variable speed. A display if you really want to see what speed you are using. Wide feed tube. Cleans pretty easily (though I cant compare with other brands). Juice pitcher holds a liter and is molded so its easy to hold and pour. Comes with a stiff cleaning brush.

Cons: No instructions to explain slow speed versus fast speed. No recipe book (not a single recipe to try). Kind of loud. Pulp collects on the clear lid above the catcher (I guess that implies its wet enought to stick).

A pretty good machine for the price (I bought it with a $20 off discount on amazon).

This is not a heavy duty Breville, but it works.
If you want recipes, use google or buy a book.
If you use the wrong speed to extract, just dump the contents of the collector back in.
Its going to be messy regardless of juicer brand so dont be afraid of messy pulp.

Big Boss 700-Watt, 18,000 RPM Juicer, Black

Big Boss 700-Watt, 18,000 RPM Juicer, Black

Big Boss 700-Watt, 18,000 RPM Juicer, Black
Fresh Juice, Easy to Make and Clean Up
This juicer is a surprisingly easy to use and clean, relatively compact, handsome machine. There is enough power to juice just about any fruit or vegetable. This machine makes pulp free juice. Drinking juice made from ingredients that I choose myself is a wonderful thing - there are no mystery chemicals or additives unless I put them in myself. The only caution, fresh homemade juice shouldn't be kept for days, there is just too much opportunity for food safety issues.

Compared to our Jack LaLanne juicer (Jack LaLanne JLPJB Power Juicer Juicing Machine), the Big Boss is so much better. The Big Boss is smaller, lighter, easier to clean, quieter, and doesn't spit all over the kitchen when it runs. For the first running, I suited up with an apron, towel on the floor, cleared off the counter and thought about putting on safety glasses. No need for all that personal protective equipment, the juice goes in the...

Good Budget Juicer
The Big Boss Juicer is a good introductory model if you are just starting juicing and are feeling your way around.

Inexpensive, reasonably compact, and at just over 9 lbs, it has good weight which helps stability and makes it less likely to tip over when the motor is working hard. It has a 2- speed, 700-watt motor which is decent, just not heavy duty. (A 1200 -1500 watt unit would handle a heavier burden and would bite harder, and be likely to outlive its limited 1 year warranty). Because of the plastic housing, I must assume the gears are also plastic. The large 3-inch feeder tube reduces prep time as larger pieces can be inserted. There is no pulp regulator so you vary the amount of juiced pulp after pulverizing by adding back liquid and blending to achieve desired consistency.

Like other extractors, the Big Boss Juicer uses a fast whirling disk to cut fruit and vegetables into tiny pieces and then spins to separate juice from pulp. Once separated from the...

Great juicer
I was skeptical about whether this juicer was going to crap out on me after a month of consistent usage. But it has stood up very very well and for only around 50 dollars.

My impressions and tips:

1) A juicer is NOT a blender. I repeat, a juicer is NOT a blender. You can't make smoothies in it. It only makes juice. (NO bananas, NO ice, NO super starchy foods). (You CAN juice something then BLEND it with bananas or ice or whatever)

2) A juicer is NOT a food processor. You can't puree foods in this. It only makes juice.

3) Yes it is pretty big. It's about the size of my kitchen aid food processor.

4) Yes it is powerful. There are suction cup things that kindof hold it in place, but I just make sure to keep a hand on the machine so it doesn't fly around by accident.

5) Yes it is plastic. That doesn't bother me much because the shredder/strainer is metal.

6) Wash IMMEDIATELY. I use the little brush that came...

You can also use the juicer to create many other types of foods, including salsa, sauces, and soups from healthy, fresh fruits and vegetables. The Big Boss Juicer comes with a pulp cup, so you can adjust the level of pulp to your taste.

Large Feeder Tube Accommodates Whole Fruits

Thanks to the juicer's 3-inch feeder tube, you can process whole fruits or vegetables in the juicer. This means less prep work before you begin juicing. It also comes with a pusher that helps you send fruits or vegetables all the way through, letting you use every bit of your food while keeping your hand safe.

Easy to Clean with Dishwasher-Safe Parts

Since the Big Boss Juicer comes with dishwasher-safe parts, it is easy to clean. All the detachable parts are safe for use in the dishwasher, leaving only the motor unit behind. The motor unit can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

How it Works:

  1. Wash the fruit and/or vegetables and cut them into pieces that fit into the feeding tube
  2. Make sure the container has been placed under the spout
  3. Switch the appliance on by turning the control knob to setting 1(low speed) or 2 (normal speed)
    a. Speed 1 is especially suitable for soft fruits and vegetables such as watermelons, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers and raspberries
    b. Speed 2 is suitable for all kinds of fruits and vegetables
  4. Put the pre-cut pieces in the feeding tube and gently press them down towards the rotating filter with the pusher
  5. After you have processed all ingredients and the juice flow has stopped, switch the appliance off and wait until the filter has stopped rotating

Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor

Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor

Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite 1000-Watt Juice Extractor
I LOVE this juicer!! (so far...) Beats my Green Power juicer.
We just bought this juicer on Amazon, using the $25 discount and the free shipping. Made it the best price on the internet when we bought it first of December 2005. Before commenting on the juicer, let me tell you what we used before this juicer arrived.

We have a top of the line Green Power juicer. If you know juicers, you know this is one of the best. We've been juicing with it on a daily basis for 10 years and it is still going strong. It has a high juice yield (dry pulp), can juice grasses and greens efficiently (wheatgrass, parsley, spinach etc.), and low temperatures and rpm minimize oxidation so juice lasts a long time. Other advantages are claimed, but these are the biggest for us.

A well-known downside to twin-screw type juicers like the Green Power is that it takes quite a bit of force to push items like carrots into the juicer, because there is no cutting blade action, just the gripping/squeezing action of the twin screws. Frankly, after 10...

The MONSTER of Juicers (and I mean that in a good way)
I have owned this juicer for over a year, and I juice 2-3 times a week on average.

When I first saw this machine in a store demo (W-S), I was amazed at how this thing TORE through everything.

After reading "The Raw Food Detox Diet" by Natalia Rose, I decided to invest in my health. My first purchase? This juicer.

PREVIOUS JUICING EXPERIENCES:
Having juiced with smaller and less powerful machines in the past, I found the process tedious and time-consuming. Not only did I have to cut all the fruits and vegetables into minute pieces, but it took forever to load them. At the end of the process, the amount of juice produced was almost not worth the effort.

I encountered NONE of those problems with this machine.

THIS JUICER:

I call this juicer a monster for several reasons:
-Size: It's big -- really big. It takes up the majority of my NYC kitchen counterspace, but after using it once, I didn't mind its size. Another...

Nice Juicer
I used an Omega 1000 for 7 years. The Omega would often get out of balance (you have to stop juicing, disassemble, clean and start over), has a small feed chute and at times would "spray" some juice from the spout.

The Breville 800 has the following great features:

Big feed chute. You can process 3 regular size carrots at once or three medium apples or oranges (stacked in the feed chute). No cutting needed. The chute is 3" in Dia and 7" tall.

Disassembles quickly. No screws. Fits easily in the dishwasher.

The pitcher included has a spout opening, so there's no overspray. Additionally, the lid is made to separate the foam from the juice.

Never gets out of balance because it's and ejection style juicer. It still does a great job of extracting the majority of juice with the high rpm motor.

Last, it looks very nice on the counter with the stainless steel construction.

High-quality materials for a beautiful kitchen

Providing commercial performance with home kitchen convenience, this juicer runs on 1000 watts with two speeds, 13,000 RPM or 6,500 RPM, for juicing hard and soft ingredients. Beautiful die-cast metal design and power combined.

Efficient and nutritious juicing

Fruit is largely composed of water, but its selling point is its nutritional value. How do you extract the juice from fruit, without leaving the nutrients behind? Breville’s Nutri Disc and patented juicing system extract more nutrients than other juicers and transfers less than 1.8F of heat to protect enzymes and maximize nutrient absorption of select nutrients.

The uniquely designed juicing system features a feed chute that is centered over the shredding disc. This allows for more efficient juicing than systems that introduce ingredients on the side of the shredding disc.

Two speeds allow you to adjust for the type of ingredients you are using. It is suggested that when juicing a variety of ingredients with varying textures, you begin with the softer textured ingredients on low-speed then change to high speed for harder texture ingredients. If you are juicing herbs, sprouts or leafy green vegetables either wrap them together to form a bundle or juice them in the middle of a combination of ingredients on low-speed to obtain the best extraction.

An extra-wide, 3-inch across feed chute makes it possible to feed whole apples, carrots, tomatoes, and peeled oranges into the juicer, saving you time and effort.

Breville 800JEXL Nutri Disc
Nutri Disc with titanium-reinforced blades shreds both hard and soft fruits and vegetables with ease
Two speeds for hard and soft ingredients
Dual speed control with a low speed of 6,500rpm for softer ingredients and 13,000rpm for harder ingredients

While juicing, you may notice juice escaping between the plastic juicer cover and the stainless steel filter bowl surround. Try pushing the Food Pusher down more slowly and using the low speed. When large quantities of fruits and vegetables, especially those with high water content such tomatoes and watermelon, are fed into the Feed Chute at a rapid rate, the stainless steel filter basket coverts these into juice so quickly that the force may cause leaking.

Product features:

  • Heavy-duty 1000 watt motor with dual speed control: a low speed (6,500rpm) for softer fruits and vegetables and a high speed (13,000rpm) for harder fruits and vegetables
  • Patented extra-wide feed chute (3” wide): juice large fruits and vegetables with little to no cutting or preparation
  • Patented direct central feed system for maximum juice extraction
  • Nutri Disc with titanium reinforced cutting blades, which ensures the blades stay sharper for longer, and stainless steel mesh filter basket for spinning out the pulp
  • Die-cast materials make the 800JEXL both durable and beautiful

  • Large capacity pulp container with integrated handle
  • Cord storage: the power cord wraps around feet and clips into position under the base for a reduced counter-top footprint

  • All materials that come in contact with food are BPA-free, ensuring safe use
  • Easy clean-up with the included cleaning brush. All parts except for the mesh filter basket/Nutri Disc and food pusher can be washed on the top shelf of the dishwasher.

Omega J8004 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, White

Omega J8004 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, White

Omega J8004 Nutrition Center Commercial Masticating Juicer, White
Identical to the J8006, better than the J8005, and a most cost-effective juicer for greens
UPDATE: As of March 11, 2013, the J8006 (identical, but with a chrome look), was temporarily $209 on Amazon (sold by Amazon, itself). This had always been a more expensive color. Please be sure to compare and buy strictly on price between these two models. Enjoy!

My wife and I have had this for two months of intense juicing of cabbage and occasionally broccoli. My wife had multiple stomach and duodenal ulcers from medications due to a spinal injury and we combed the internet looking for studies on the best home remedies, as prescription antacids were not healing her. We chanced across two studies on raw cabbage juice healing ulcers in a matter of weeks, so that led me to research juicers.

There are four basic types of juicers. In order of general effectiveness (least effective to most effective) on greens, they are as follows:

1. Spinning blade/centrifugal ($50-$200)
2. Single-gear masticating (like this one) ($200-$350)
3. Double-gear...

The Great Masticator: Omega 8004/8006 perfect for lazy first-time juicers like me

An Awesome Juicer & Great Investment
This is my first juicer and I am thrilled I made the right choice. I researched for about a month before I got my tax return and pulled the trigger, and it has turned out to be a great investment in my health. The machine is extremely durable as it has a full 15 year warranty. This is exactly the same model as the Omega J8006 that everyone loves so much (according to reviews) with the only difference being that it's white. A cosmetic difference but I'd rather keep the 40 bucks and be a little less fancy personally. Works great with everything I've thrown at it so far from wheatgrass to celery to carrots, apples, yams, pears, kiwis, zucchini, ginger, you name it. The only exception and this was an early mistake I made after I first got it and that is you don't want to juice bananas. Too mushy and just makes a mess. Extremely easy to take apart and clean though so within 5 minutes it was clean and ready to go again. Pulp comes out very dry so it is very efficient as well. All in all I...

Omega J8004 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Low Speed Masticating Juicer, White

The Omega J8004 Nutrition Center is a masticating style juicer. Sometimes referred to as a low speed juicer, the Nutrition Center processes at 80rpm, whereas most other juicers process at a speed of 1,650 to 15,000rpm. The low speed protects and maintains healthy enzymes, prevents oxidation and allows juice to be stored up to 72 hours without degradation. The GE Ultem Auger is 8x stronger than most other plastics and the powerful gear reduction is equivalent to a 2HP Motor. The dual stage juice processing system extracts the maximum amount of juice from fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, even wheatgrass! You can also use the nutrition center to turn nuts into nut butters (an all-natural peanut butter), make baby food from natural, fresh ingredients, whip up soy milk, extrude pasta, grind coffee and spices, and mince herbs and garlic. Make delicious and nutritious drinks and snacks that everyone will love. Measuring 7in wide, 15.5in deep and 8.5in tall.

  • Masticating juice extractor with powerful single-gear commercial motor
  • Dual-stage juicing; low speed of 80 RPMs means no foaming, clogging, or heat build-up
  • High yield with very dry pulp; auto pulp-ejection for continuous operation
  • Easy to assemble, operate, and clean; UL- and cUL-approved; runs quietly
  • Ships in Certified Frustration-Free Packaging
  • Measures 14-1/2 by 6-1/2 by 15-1/2 inches; 15-year warranty

Black & Decker JE2200B 400-Watt Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor with Custom Juice Cup

Black & Decker JE2200B 400-Watt Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor with Custom Juice Cup

Black & Decker JE2200B 400-Watt Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor with Custom Juice Cup
Great low-price juicer
The first thing you should keep in mind is that it is one of the lowest price juice extractors out there. It's true that it has a small feed chute and that does mean that you have to cut up your veggies and take your time. The negative criticisms about this machine not being good for "continuous feed" and making too much pulp are most likely the result of trying to jam too much into it at one time. It even says in the owner's manual that if you are making carrot juice, put in only one piece at a time and go slowly. I cut my pieces so that the weight of the plunger is usually enough to push them through and I get great results. You just have to take your time and realize that this is a low-cost machine made for fairly light use, and you will enjoy it. Also keep in mind that if you clean it immediately, everything pretty much rinses off except the basket, which usually requires some help from a sponge. If you are in a hurry or plan to be a heavy user, spend more money and get a...

The Little Juicer That Could! :o)
I wanted a new juicer, tried two Juiceman models and juice yield wasn't impressive and pulp a little too damp. I saw this one at Walmart and I thought "no way could a $30 juicer be great." I was wrong. It's more compact and I'm all for pulp-extraction but not if it's from an oversized container sitting on the back of it. If you're just making juice for one to a few people at once, you don't need it. This one has the right sized container and just rests within the body of the machine. It gets better: Because the feed chute ends very close to the cutting blade (a problem many juicer models need to correct) it doesn't waste chunks of produce. The pulp is drier than about 7 other juices I've owned or tried. I've been using it 1x/day for 2 months now. I still cannot believe this cheap juicer outperforms so many others. The only con is the feed chute is small so I'm cutting thicker parts of carrots in half, apples smaller, etc. No complaint as I'm usually just juicing for myself...

Great little juicer
I like the juicer a lot. The mouth of the opening is a little on the small side meaning that I have to cut the vegetable and fruits up small but other that that, it does what it should. It was easy for me to assemble and take apart. The cleaning is not an all day process. One word of advice is to buy a cleaning brush for the blade if you do not have a dishwasher.

Skip the juice bar and get all your favorite fresh juices right from your counter. With 400 watts of power and a stainless steel cutter and strainer, you can juice all your favorite fruits and vegetables. The large, integrated pulp container takes up less counter space, while a custom juice cup mades serving easy. All this, plus slip-resistant feet and dishwasher-safe parts that made cleanup a snap.

  • 400 watts of power plus a stainless steel cutter and strainer juices all your favorite fruits and vegetables with ease
  • Large, integrated pulp container reduces space taken on counter
  • Custom juice cup makes measuring, pouring and serving easy
  • Dishwasher-safe parts make cleanup a breeze
  • Measures 13 by 9 by 9-inch; 2-year limited warranty

Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer, Brushed Stainless

Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer, Brushed Stainless

Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer, Brushed Stainless
MUCH BETTER THAN THE CCJ-100 - IT STAYS IN PLACE!!
I purchased this juicer to juice lemons and limes so that I wouldn't have to use my "hand held squeeze" juicer anymore. It works great and it gets almost all of the fruit out of the rind and it produces a larger amount of juice than compared to my hand juicer. Personally I wouldn't suggest using it to juice a large amount of fruit at a time set at the "lowest" pulp setting because the pulp catcher fills up fast and you would have to continuously clean it. This works perfectly for what I purchased it for. It stays in place too unlike like the Cuisinart CCJ-100 and it looks nice on the counter.

Reliable, Easy to Use Juicer
For the current price of $29.95 this is a very good juicer. My typical use involves juicing an entire bag of oranges (8 - 10) in one session, several times a week. Though small, it is powerful and the rotating hub has never stopped under the pressure I've applied to it. The spin reversing feature works well also. I like the high speed feature to get the last drops of juice out of the pulp.
Only slight negative: it can be harder than one would expect to clean all of the pulp out of it. After scrubbing with a soapy Dobie pad, I'll still find pulp pieces on it after it's dry.

Finally! An affordable citrus juicer that doesn't s**k!
I like to keep a bottle of fresh-squeezed lemon juice in the fridge for making lemonade, other drinks, and for cooking - let's face it, concentrated lemon juice you get in the store is lousy (and that's being nice). But I'm not willing to pay $50 to $100 or more for fresh juice, and the more versatile juicers out there don't do as good a job with lemons as a dedicated citrus juicer.

I've ordered and set back several basic citrus juicers (including the earlier Cuisinart incarnation, the CCJ-100), looking for something that does its job and isn't a piece of junk. I've finally found it. The motor is sturdy enough to withstand a good amount of downward pressure without choking, and has lasted at least through several large bags of lemons (my only complaint about the CCJ-100 was that it wore out within a short timeframe, and the motor started screaming - definitely on its last legs). Like the 100, this model has a nice watertight spout that holds the juice without spilling a...

From the smallest lime to the largest grapefruit, this sleek brushed stainless steel citrus juicer getsout more juice more efficiently. An adjustable auto-reversing reamer features “custom” pulp controlsettings, and the unique Final-Spin feature maximizes the amount of juice from each piece of fruit.Dishwasher-safe parts make cleanup a breeze.

  • Auto-reversing reamer; final spin feature
  • Juicing cone accommodates small limes to large grapefruits

Black & Decker Fruit & Vegetable Juicer Extractor

Black & Decker Fruit & Vegetable Juicer Extractor

Black & Decker Fruit & Vegetable Juicer Extractor
An Excellent Choice and Affordable Too
I purchased this Black and Decker juicer a few years ago and it is still working fine. I feel it is one of the most effective juicers and the price is right! Most juicers are horribly expensive and difficult to clean. This juicer comes apart easily and all the pieces can be washed in the dishwasher.

I find this juicer works best when you cut pieces of fruit and vegetables fairly small. After a few times you learn how small to cut the produce. Like a cucumber must be cut in fourths and apples must be cut into small slices.

If there are any problems with this juicer it is that it vibrates quite a bit while being used. It seems better if you put a cloth/rag under the juicer. This helps to keep the cup collecting the juices stable. It also collects drips and keeps the counter clean.

I have used juicers in the past which were much more difficult to clean so I think that is something to think about especially if you are going to go on a juice fast or use the...

Excellent for the price
We owned this juicer for the past 4 years. In the beginning we used it maybe once a week but last year we used it every day and it has worked excellently. We mainly juiced carrots but did everything from the leafy vegetable to hard fruits. Just recently we tried to use it and it won't turn on. This juicer was more than worth the price. The only complaint I had while using int was that there was one small place, near the juice spout that was hard to clean out. Overall this was worth the money.

Lasted 1 Hr.
Motor smoked after the first hour of use. I did a few apples and kiwis, and a bag of carrots.

Also, you have to cut carrots in half, as the intake is small.

Not even going to bother RMAing it, as I already tossed the box out. Just going to grab a sturdier model at the local store.

Black & Decker CJ625 30-Watt 34-Ounce Citrus Juicer

Black & Decker CJ625 30-Watt 34-Ounce Citrus Juicer

Black & Decker CJ625 30-Watt 34-Ounce Citrus Juicer
Okay Juicer. Works well For Minor Use
I have grown up with citrus trees in the yard and still have a couple in my own yard. I needed a citrus juicer since the motor on a almost new Black and Decker juicer started smoking and turned quickly into trash.

THE CONS: So after a decent amount of research, I bought this one. I don't juice too often, but when I do, it is usually a few pounds of citrus. I thought this juicer would be okay for that, and it does works OK with some setbacks. I absolutely hate how fickle the pressure sensor is on this thing. Even with evenly distributed pressure, it will rotate quickly back and forth until you let up. There must be some sort of trick to this, but I would think a juicer wouldn't need tricks. I have also had this juicer get so warm to the touch that I had to stop and let it cool off: obviously you can't do large batches at a time. Only small batches.

THE PROS: Okay, so it was cheap. I wasn't expecting much. It also comes apart easily for cleaning, which is a big...

Works great -- squeezes more lemon juice than a manual juicer.
I have gone nuts for homemade lemonade. The first batch was made with a manual juicer from half of a 5-lb bag of lemons. I then decided to buy an inexpensive electric juicer, which I used to juice the other half of my lemons. Voila--more juice from the same number of lemons! It will take a while to see any real savings on lemons, but meanwhile the lemonade is fantastic. This machine cleans easily, works well, keeps the seeds out of the juice, and can be adjusted for a little or a lot of pulp in the juice. I didn't try stopping all the pulp, so I can't comment on that. This CJ625 is worth what it costs. Also, the motor kept on working without complaint after 12 half-lemons. I have no complaints either.

Tribest CS-1000 Citristar Citrus Juicer

Tribest CS-1000 Citristar Citrus Juicer

Tribest CS-1000 Citristar Citrus Juicer
Does exactly what you'd expect...
I usually like to 'live' with a product for awhile before posting any sort of review. We've been using our Tribest Citrus Juicer for about 3 months now. There really is not much to say other than it does exactly what I expected a citrus juicer to do... it reams citrus fruits very fast, very efficiently, very safe and easy to use, a really powerful motor, simple quick clean-up and it looks good. Excellent plastics materials used in construction and its a simple, smart design. It might be a little more expensive than many of the other citrus juicers currently in the marketplace but you can be sure you won't be disappointed. When searching for a citrus juicer I read quite a few reviews and it seems weak motors were the biggest single complaint with most of these electric citrus juicers. However I gathered from the reviews about this Tribest Citrus Juicer that a weak motor would definitely NOT be an issue and then when I considered the relatively small price difference for a juicer...

Powerful citrus juicer
This juicer is great for citrus - lemons, limes, oranges. Easy to use and easy to clean. Most important....when you press down on the fruit, the motor keeps going and you get every last drop of juice. The motor does not stop as you add pressure, like many juicers. This one is powerful enough to do a great job!

Not if you like pulp.
The Citristar juicer does its basic job okay - a powerful motor turns the reamer and it juices the fruit quickly and thoroughly - not quietly, but less noisily than many other juicers. The stainless steel screen is designed to filter out pulp and deliver a pulp-free juice, but enough pulp comes through into the bowl so that the spout valve clogs and the juice stops flowing into your glass. The juice collects in the bowl, which itself doesn't have a pouring spout, so it's difficult to pour the collected juice into your glass. We like some pulp in our juice, but there's no adjustment on this juicer to allow for this. I modified the screen, probably invalidating any warranty, so we get some pulp, but it's still awkward to deal with because the bowl doesn't have a pour spout.

The box says "dishwasher safe" but the manual says "hand wash" - I believe the manual. Lots of parts to wash: 2 nesting reamers (large for oranges and small for lemons), the screen, the screen hub, the...

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor 67650

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor 67650

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor 67650
Best Value Juicer
I read the reviews on this juicer and wondered why some gave rave reviews and others gave this juicer rotten reviews. Since most of the reviews were positive, I decided to take a chance and buy it. I'm glad I did.

The Decision - Out of all the top reviewed juicers on Amazon, Epinion, Best-Juicer-Reviews, and ConsumerSearch, this had the longest warranty (1 yr), highest horsepower motor (1.1 hp) and lowest price ($69). All of the top rated juicers have wide mouths (3+ in) and are dishwasher safe. This is why I bought it. The juicers I looked at were Breville BJE 200XL, 800 JEXL, BJE 510XL, Jack Lalanne power juicer and Hamilton Beach 67650.

The Good - It juices fast, it is easy to clean (5 min by hand, no dishwasher), and is inexpensive. Most of all, it saves me time. I could eat fast food (no more cooking and cleaning as this is dishwasher safe) without having to eat fattening drive-thru food. It is fast and nutritious.

The Bad - It is not cheap to...

Big Mouth Chrome vs. Breville Compact Juice Fountain
I just recently purchased two juicers: the Bigmouth Chrome and the Breville Compact Juice Fountain. As they are both in the same price/performance category, I thought I'd briefly compare the two for those interested in the differences-as I see it. For the record, both of these juicers are my first go at juicing and was recommended to us by our Nutritionist.
First, both are winners and perform flawlessly the task of extracting juice from a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. Both have strong motors that easily do the job at hand. Both are easy to use and clean. Both are well designed and are easily taken apart and put back together.
In all honesty, the Breville Compact Juice Fountain which costs about 40 dollars more than this Bigmouth Chrome does have a few benefits which make it worth the extra cost if price is not an object. The Breville motor seems to be a touch more powerful and a touch quieter. The Breville's juice container comes with a froth reducer (I, personally,...

Alternative Uses

Not sure what to do with the leftover pulp? The leftover pulp is mostly fiber and cellulose, which like the juice, contains necessary vital nutrients for the daily diet. Any leftover pulp can be used in a variety of recipes, frothy drinks, casseroles or soups, as well as for garden composting.

Thirsty for something other than juice? The Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor can help children, teens and adults get their daily vitamin intake with the option of making soy, almond or rice milk. To start, soak one cup of soybeans, almonds or rice in four cups of water for 24 to 48 hours in the refrigerator, and then slowly pour one cup into the food chute. The liquid extracted from the soaked mixture is the "milk." For enhanced milk flavor, consider adding vanilla or honey.

Easy Cleanup

All removable plastic parts – except for the motor base – are dishwasher safe. For easy cleanup, run the strainer basket under water and brush off excess fiber buildup or pulp with cleaning brush. The pulp bin container can be emptied during juicing by turning extractor OFF and carefully removing from the unit. For easy cleanup, place a plastic grocery bag in the pulp bin container to collect the pulp and once juicing is complete, simply discard.

TIPS & CARE

Some extractors yield more juice than others, and the proportion of pulp to juice varies from fruit to fruit. Most fruits and vegetables such as apples, carrots and cucumbers will not need to be pre-cut into smaller pieces since they are likely to fit into the extra-wide feed chute. However, it is recommended that oranges, pineapples, melons and mangoes be peeled before placing in the unit to minimize impact on juice flavor. Also, all fruits with pits and large seeds, such as nectarines, peaches, apricots, plums and cherries MUST be pitted before juicing. To extract the maximum amount of juice every time, gently guide food down the feed chute slowly so that juice doesn't spray out of the spout. Do not allow pulp container to overfill, as this may prevent correct operation or damage to the unit.
