300 Series 24" Bar Handle Dishwasher Finish: Stainless Steel

300 Series 24" Bar Handle Dishwasher Finish: Stainless Steel

300 Series 24
Superb cleaning ability and holds a ton of dishes
I replaced a 7-year-old KitchenAid dishwasher with this Bosch because the KitchenAid was a lemon; didn't clean dishes, left grit and scum on them, smelled bad, the element cooked the bottom of the silverware rack so pieces of it broke off into the machine and made it operate poorly and silverware fell through the holes!! Unbelievable. This new Bosch model is a lower end model, but I didn't want all the bells and whistles (and cost) of the higher end ones. It does what you need it to, and so superbly, that you realize that the bells and whistles are really superfluous. It is quiet, every single dish is clean beyond belief (and smooth! no more grit! it took the KitchenAid grit off!!), it was easy to install, and it holds so many more dishes than the KitchenAid did with its bigger racks! The racks in the Bosch are better designed so they actually hold more dishes, spacing them closer to each other. This is a great dishwasher and I'm just kicking myself for not buying it years ago.

simply wonderful
Have had 2 kitchenaid dishwashers over the years, the last one was always causing problems. Read the reviews and bought a Bosch. The best applliance we have ever had. First it is very quiet, can hardly know it is running. The dishes come out dry, sparkling. Have used it for a month now, everything has been perfect. Very well made in all respects, a real jewel.

Quiet, cleans relatively poorly, terrible loading layout
We've owned four dishwashers in our life. We recently got one of these Bosch model SHX43s (not through Amazon). We are quite disappointed. It is very quiet. If that is your main desire in a dishwasher, I cannot imagine a better one. However, we are very disappointed with two things. First, it does not clean all that well. We have followed all the directions and tried different settings, and it just does not clean very well compared to our last dishwasher, which was a Maytag. Yes, Consumer reports rates these highly. But we do not find that it works very well. I've heard other people talk about how important it is to rinse plates clean before you put them in the dishwasher. I always thought that was silly, because with all our prior ones, you could scrape off the stuff rinse a tiny bit and put them in and let it go. No problem. This one, you pretty much need to clean the dishes before it will. We are not used to pulling bowls and things out of the dishwasher and finding residue,...
